Clara Ketter (b. 1998, Sweden) is a visual artist working interdisciplinary within sculpture and photography. She is currently completing her Masters in Fine art at Sandberg Instituut (NL) and works between Malmö and Amsterdam. She holds a bachelor degree in Fine art photography from HDK-Valand (SE).
Her work reflects on the fabrications and functions of storytelling, deriving from thoughts of the transient manner that narratives are constructed within tales of natural history, where factual truths are merged with speculative elements to create a complete narrative. She plays with a visual exploration of the frame as a traditional container of a story by decomposing it and its layered, categorized, contents, handing the frame a transformative capacity: an ability to deconstruct and reassemble the narratives they are originally destined to display and hold.
